Join the Parker County Hospital District's Citizens EMS Academy for an immersive experience in emergency medical services. This FREE and unique program offers Parker County residents a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most advanced EMS agencies in Texas and the nation.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• Listen to 9-1-1 Calls — Gain insight into emergency response by listening to live 9-1-1 calls, understanding dispatcher protocols and coordination.
• Stop the Bleed Training — Learn critical techniques to control bleeding in emergencies, equipping you to act effectively before professionals arrive.
• Hands-Only CPR Training — Participate in practical sessions to master hands-only CPR, a vital skill in life-threatening situations.
• Rid-Along Experience — Ride along with our experienced Critical Care Paramedics, Supervisors, or ambulance crews while responding to 9-1-1 calls.
