Citizen Science: Testing the Water — Exploring Local Water Quality

First, learn how to test freshwater samples using simple field methods. We'll help you interpret the pH, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen levels of the water to gauge its health. After that, explore how the texture and water absorption of soil influence the health of surrounding bodies of water.
All data collected will be submitted to the EarthEcho Water Challenge, a national initiative to protect freshwater resources.
