Help document local biodiversity during a 24-hour community bioblitz centered on the Racine Public Library. The program begins with a short introductory talk at 1 p.m. explaining what a bioblitz is, why biodiversity data matters and how anyone can participate. Over the following 24 hours, participants will be invited to use the iNaturalist app to record plants, insects, birds, fungi and other wildlife in the area surrounding the library.
Observations will be collected in the Racine Public Library’s iNaturalist group, "Cataloging the Wild: RPL’s iNaturalists." visit https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/cataloging-the-wild. Whether you participate for just a few minutes or for the full 24 hours, your data will contribute to a shared snapshot of local wildlife.
