In the first part of this program, Kristine Heuser from the Root Pike Watershed Initiative Network will cover common stormwater pollutants and how pollinators and native plants impact water health. Then, a guided outdoor observation will show you how to identify bumblebees. We'll submit our observations to the Bumblebee Brigade, a statewide citizen science organization that monitors native bumblebees. For more ways to participate in citizen science, try logging your nature photos with our iNaturalist group.
