Who can participate?Applicants will be subject to a background check and individuals who apply for the Milwaukee Police Citizen Academy must be:
- A resident of the City of Milwaukee or person who works or is active in the City of Milwaukee
- At least 21 years of age
- Have no felony convictions within the last 15 years
- Have no current criminal charges pending.
Participants who complete the 7 week program will receive a certificate of completion at the Citizen Academy Graduation. For more information call the Milwaukee Police Department Office of Community Outreach and Education.
Note: Citizen Academy has a $20 fee for a uniform polo that participants get to keep.
