Cirque Kalabanté returns to the Ferguson Center with WOW: World of Words, a new show blending ancestral ritual with aerial innovation. WOW explores the exchange of knowledge, the meeting of cultures, and the power of shared respect—erasing boundaries and bridging tradition with modernity.
Founded by former Cirque du Soleil artist Yamoussa Bangoura, Cirque Kalabanté blends traditional West African performance with contemporary circus arts, drawing deeply from Bangoura’s Guinean roots. Known for its daring physical feats of storytelling and cultural expression, the troupe tours the world, bringing vibrant African dance, cirque, and drumming to global audiences.
