100 Years of Sarasota School is the centerpiece of our centennial celebration. Drawing on Architecture Sarasota's recently completed cultural resource survey, which identified more than 1,700 Sarasota School-related properties, the exhibition reexamines the movement through a 21st-century lens, exploring the people, principles, and places that have shaped one of the world's most influential regional movements in modern architecture.
President Marty Hylton will share highlights from our four-year research initiative, discuss how we identified Sarasota School resources across Sarasota County, and reveal some of the surprising discoveries that are reshaping our understanding of the movement's first century.
