About this Event

Cinemaïs organiseert Seeds of Myanmar in samenwerking met NW, als onderdeel van All Eyes On. Een namiddag waarin film, eten en verhalen je meenemen naar Myanmar.

Reis voor één dag naar Myanmar en ontdek de rijke smaken en inspirerende verhalen van het land. Geniet van authentieke proevertjes zoals tea leaf salad en pumpkin curry, vergezeld van traditionele thee.

Tijdens een panelgesprek maak je kennis met twee lokale initiatieven: She Creates, dat vrouwelijke ambachtsmakers ondersteunt, en de Healthy Soil Movement van Kokkoya Organics, die boeren verspreid over Myanmar begeleidt in de transitie naar biologische en regeneratieve landbouw.

Centraal in het programma staat de documentaire Everything Is Temporary van regisseur Juliette Klinke, die een persoonlijke blik werpt op het leven in Myanmar. Na de film volgt een Q&A met de regisseur.

Met je deelname steun je de Healthy Soil Movement: de opbrengst van het evenement gaat naar hun werk met boeren in Myanmar.

Cinemaïs is organising Seeds of Myanmar in collaboration with NW, as part of All Eyes On. An afternoon where film, food and stories take you on a journey to Myanmar.

Travel to Myanmar for a day and discover the country’s rich flavours and inspiring stories. Enjoy authentic bites such as tea leaf salad and pumpkin curry, accompanied by traditional tea.

During a panel discussion, you will discover two local initiatives: She Creates, which supports female artisans, and the Healthy Soil Movement by Kokkoya Organics, which supports farmers across Myanmar in their transition towards organic and regenerative agriculture.

At the heart of the programme is the documentary Everything Is Temporary by director Juliette Klinke, which offers a personal perspective on life in Myanmar. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director.

By taking part, you support the Healthy Soil Movement: all proceeds from the event will go towards their work with farmers in Myanmar.
