Cinema With A Cause is a free monthly screening of social justice and civil rights films, followed by a guided discussion.
True North is a bold documentary that illuminates Montréal's place in the global struggle for Black liberation. Weaving together never-before-seen archives and firsthand testimonies, the film follows the students, writers, and activists who shaped the Black Power movement of the 1960s.
Directed by Emmy Award–winning Haitian-Panamanian filmmaker Michèle Stephenson, who will be joining us virtually for a post-film Q&A.
