🎧 Saigon on Wax is a vibrant and engaging documentary that pulls back the curtain on Saigon's burgeoning and often overlooked vinyl scene. Beyond the city’s well-known culinary and shopping attractions, the film explores a passionate community of collectors, musicians, DJs, producers, and shop owners shaping a unique sonic landscape.
Through lively interviews and rich archival footage, the film reveals the untold stories behind countless records, a playful and energetic exploration inviting audiences to discover a side of Saigon they've never seen, where every crackle and pop tells a story of dedication, discovery, and love for music.
🎥 About the Director
Tommy B. is a passionate music enthusiast whose deep dive into vinyl culture inspired his directorial debut. Though not from a traditional filmmaking background, his early studies and love for storytelling came alive through this project, a tribute to Saigon’s creative soul and its growing vinyl community.
Zed Sayed. is a filmmaker from Cairo who’s been living in Saigon for six years. His time in the city pulled him into its many subcultures and the people who shape them. He aims focus on real stories and the passion that drives people bringing their energy and spirit to the screen.
