Before DIE HARD 2, before NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4, Renny Harlin directed PRISON for Empire Pictures. Technically his second film directing but this ambitious production shows how impressive a director he was already. With an impressive cast including Vigo Mortensen, Tom "Tiny" Lister, Kane Hodder and more recognizable faces plus John Carl Buechler doing the FX work, this haunted prison movie is like Hellraiser meets Shawshank in the best possible ways. This is a wild one that should be a blast with a crowd.
