About this Event

Poetry Is Cinema examines the connection between cinematic and poetic language through film screenings, discussion and a poetry workshop.

Prompted by the curiosities of poet and filmmaker Brandon Wint, Cinema is Poetry will examine the similarities and differences in the way films and poems are made, discussed and recieved. Through a combination of an independent film screening, a facilitated conversation, and an accessible poetry workshop, Cinema Is Poetry is a warm, inviting meeting place where poets, writers, filmmakers and art lovers can share their curiosities about how image and narrative come together in film and poetry, respectively.

Each attendee will receive a small packet of poems and a writing prompt.
