Our screenings are more than just a movie viewing; they are an opportunity to immerse yourself in the cultural context of the country where the film originated, as each screening is hosted by someone from that country who will provide deeper insight into the film.

This time, we will be screening "The Second Mother" (2015)—a Brazilian drama that explores complex social bonds, issues of class inequality, and the power of family relationships. This is a rare film that reveals genuine human experiences through the touching story of Val, a housekeeper, and her daughter, Jéssica.
