Brazilian Cinema at IGRContinuing its series of Brazilian movies, the Institute will present "O Outro Lado da Rua" on March 13th. The film is directed by Marcos Bernstein and stars Fernanda Montenegro and Raul Cortes.
Regina, a 65-year-old woman living in Copacabana, finds herself alone and joins a police service where retirees report minor offenses. While observing what appears to be a murder, she decides to prove she was right, becoming involved with the alleged criminal and creating a narrative of mystery and suspense.
In addition to enjoying a remarkable movie, the session reinforces the connection with Brazilian culture and the importance of Portuguese language education. The film will also have English subtitles.
