When two childhood friends reunite for a quiet weekend back home, their world shatters in an instant. Madison, a university student torn between city life and her roots, and Nika, grounded in the strength of her land and lineage, are thrust into a dangerous spiral after a life-altering encounter with a police officer leaves them unwilling fugitives.
This screening of Nika and Madison is free and open to the public! All guests must check-in at the front desk to receive an admission token.
This June, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films in honour of both Indigenous History Month and Pride Month. These films examine themes of love, identity, family, fate, justice, tradition, and resilience from a wide range of Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ filmmakers.
