Cinebrunch is an exclusive brunch for Filmmaking professionals to connect and discover different areas of filmmaking. In this edition, we will have the pleasure to converse with seasoned Hollywood Producer/EP Clayton Townsend.
Clayton Townsend was recently nominated for an Emmy in 2024 for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series as Executive Producer of the Netflix series Ripley, based on Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley. Written and directed by Steven Zaillian, Ripley received 13 Emmy nominations. Townsend's longstanding collaborations with high-profile directors have made him a sought-after producer with an impressive list of award-winning credits.
His latest film, Last Days, directed by Justin Lin (Fast X, F9: The Fast Saga, Fast & Furious 6), based on the true story of missionary John Allen Chau, premiered at Sundance 2025.
Townsend has also produced three Fast & Furious blockbusters, including F9, which grossed $5 billion globally. He previously worked with Justin Lin and Neal H. Moritz on Fast & Furious 6 and Tokyo Drift. Townsend produced The Equalizer 3, filmed entirely in Italy, and worked with Oliver Stone on iconic films like Natural Born Killers, JFK, and Nixon. He produced the Netflix hit Bird Box and collaborated with Judd Apatow on films like Bridesmaids and This Is 40. Additional credits include Holmes and Watson, Zoolander 2, and The Skeleton Key.
