Enjoy hard cider tastings from the regions top cider makers at Winchester's newest cider tasting room, The Cider House then take a shuttle trip to a local orchard to learn about the apple industry in the Shenandoah Valley. You can also just enjoy the tasting and opt out of the add-on tour. Shuttle tours of the orchard and facilities will follow an hour of cider tastings at Noon, 1:15 and 2:30 pm. A limit of 24 tickets are available per orchard tour session. During the orchard tour, guides will dispense a wealth of information on the planting and growing of fruit trees, temperature sensitivity for blossoms, spraying and pruning and using the latest “green” methodology to protect the trees and promote tree and fruit growth, when and how to harvest, and much more.
Delicious food options will be available for sale at The Cider House.
The cider tastings will take place indoors while the orchard tours are outdoors. Please wear appropriate footwear.
