The Pack A.D. - Vancouver based “Destruction and melody, acid wit and bruising vocals-this is the Pack A.D. Singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller have made a sound so gigantic, so fierce and raw and empowering, that it's easy to forget there are just two people behind this brilliant, carefully constructed havoc. Shredding and pounding their way through every song, the Pack A.D. swallows you whole inside their fearless Franken-blend of heavy psychpop/garage-rock. Their lyrics are wild nests, human and complex: darkly funny disclosures about depression; indictments of digital excess; grief-stricken fire bombs; sly crusades against stupidity. ”
Space Queen - Vancouver based “Space Queen is the alternative rock power trio of Jenna Earle (guitar/vocals), Seah Maister (bass/keys/vocals) and Karli MacIntosh (drums/vocals) Space Queen takes the trio’s signature haunting vocal harmonies and sends them soaring over a cosmic canvas of neo-psychedelic rock. Driving beats from MacIntosh provide an anchor for Earle’s heavy distortion and 70s-style riffs, while Maister keeps everything grounded on fuzzed-out, gnarly bass.”

Spring Fling is an annual collaboration between the Bulkley Valley Concert Association and Smithers Community Radio that has brought celebrated acts like Bison, Apollo Ghost, Bry Webb, Wooden Horsemen, Devours and more to the valley for nearly a decade. Every ticket helps ensure the bands keep coming while also supporting the work that CICK 93.9 FM does to stay independent, local, and true to the voices you hear on the dial.
