The Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol is delighted to announce that Ciaran Moran will perform in the Centre on Saturday 21st November. Ciaran performed in the Oriel Centre a few years ago as support to Brian Kennedy and made such an impression on the audience that the dream was always to have him perform his own headline show.
Ciarán Moran is an Irish singer-songwriter whose raw, heartfelt storytelling and commanding live presence have marked him out as one of Ireland’s most compelling contemporary voices. Raised in Dublin’s North Inner City, Ciarán’s music is rooted in real-life experience, honest, gritty and deeply human. a quality that has earned praise from Irish music legends including Christy Moore, Damien Dempsey and the late Christy Dignam.
Since first gaining attention opening for Damien Dempsey over eight years ago, Ciarán has steadily built an impressive and diverse live resume. He has sold out headline shows in iconic venues such as Whelan’s, The Academy 2 Dublin and London’s Greennote Music Venue, and has taken his live show across to New York City for a 5 Night Tour testament to his growing international appeal.
Ciarán’s ability to connect with audiences is further proven through high-profile support slots with global and UK artists, including Macy Gray, Paul Young, Jamie Webster, Gavin James, and most recently three nights supporting The Wolfe Tones at Dublin’s 3Arena, one of Ireland’s premier arenas.
His recorded work confirms the depth of his artistry. In 2022 he released his acclaimed debut EP Life Inner City, a collection that solidified his reputation as a storyteller unafraid to reflect truth with both tenderness and raw edge. In 2025 he followed this with his powerful EP Love in the Gutter, featuring songs that showcase his evolving voice and songwriting maturity.
Recognised by Hot Press as one of the artists to watch for 2025, including a “Track of the Day” feature for his single How Are You Man?, Ciarán continues to gain momentum on both national and international stages.
