As the evening unfolds, Marc will share the fascinating history of the winery, its unique winemaking process, and the legacy of his family’s work, while guiding you through a selection of wines that have garnered global acclaim.
Founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, Château Musar is located in the heart of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, an ancient and revered wine-growing region. The winery is known for its bold, age-worthy wines crafted from a mix of local and international grape varieties, and it has built a reputation for producing wines of remarkable complexity, elegance, and longevity. Despite the challenges Lebanon has faced over the years, Château Musar has remained a beacon of resilience and quality in the wine world.
Marc Hochar, the son of the legendary Serge Hochar, who brought Château Musar to global prominence, continues his family's legacy of excellence. After studying oenology in Bordeaux, Marc returned to Lebanon to take the reins of the winery following Serge’s passing in 2014. He has since worked tirelessly to uphold the winery’s traditional values while embracing innovative practices, ensuring that Château Musar remains one of the finest producers in Lebanon—and the world.
From the Château Musar Blanc 2018 to the stunning Château Musar Rouge 1998, each wine has been thoughtfully selected to complement our specially crafted dishes, ensuring a harmonious balance of flavors.
