This concert celebrates the soulful dialogue and effortless groove that defined that legendary collaboration, bringing to life the bluesy sophistication and joyful interplay that made the original recording an instant classic.Washington DC based vibraphonist Chuck Redd is no stranger to the Century Room, but this will be his first time performing with local guitar legend Matt Mitchell! Redd and Mitchell will channel the chemistry of Jackson and Montgomery while adding their own personal touch. Expect an evening of deep swing, lush ballads, and hard bop, featuring a top-notch rhythm section and timeless tunes like “S.K.J.,” “Delilah,” and “Stablemates.”
