CHS Experience: Plant Walk & Remedy Workshop
About this Event
CHS Experience: Plant Walk & Remedy Workshop
Join us for a gentle-paced guided walk and seasonal remedy workshop, hosted by Lira and Rhiannon.
Lira is an urban wildlife enthusiast with a particular interest in urban bird watching. Shes passionate about making wildlife education more accessible and engaging. Rhiannon is a London based herbalist and educator. She bridges the gap between science and indigenous wisdom, helping women to build deeper connections to Mother Nature, and their feminine energy, through herbalism.
The day begins with a 1.5-hour guided walk through Mitcham Common (702-712 Mitcham Road CR0 3AB) from 11:00am to 12:30pm. There will then be a short break for refreshments, comfort breaks and time to settle in before the workshop.
From 1:00pm to 3:00pm, we’ll gather at Soul Food Garden (Wingate Crescent, Croydon CR0 3AL), where participants will learn about herbs that support different phases of the menstrual cycle and create three tea blends to take home one for the menstrual phase, one for the follicular phase, and one for the luteal phase. We’ll explore their medicinal properties, energetic qualities and how they can be incorporated into a supportive self-care practice.
Come solo or with friends. You’ll meet the crew there!
