CHS Camp 2026: Creative Critters (Grades 4-6) - July 2nd-3rd
About this Event
CHS Camp
Calgary Humane Society Camp is a place where kids build meaningful connections with animals. Our goal is to create opportunities for children to interact with, learn about, and develop empathy for the animals that share our world.
Led by enthusiastic instructors, dedicated volunteers, and supported by our friendly animal ambassadors, each camp offers an enriching experience filled with fun activities, creative crafts, and hands‑on learning. As campers explore and play, they also learn about respect, compassion, and the lifelong responsibility of caring for animals.
All activities are designed to be age‑appropriate and developmentally suitable. For campers who wish to attend multiple weeks, each week features a unique theme to ensure fresh and diverse experiences.
Throughout their time with us, campers will discover animal characteristics and behaviour, learn proper pet care, and meet a variety of species, including bunnies, cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and more!
Theme Description: Creative Critters (Grades 4-6)
This theme gives budding artists the perfect opportunity to flex their creative muscles through animal‑themed art projects. Campers will explore the beauty of the natural world, discover the art animals create in nature, and craft their own projects inspired by wildlife and the environment. And of course, no day would be complete without spending time with our shelter animals!
