On August 22, 1881, Clara Barton founded the first chapter of the American Red Cross in Dansville, NY. The Clinton Historical Society will host a blood drive 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, August 22. There will also be an exhibition of Red Cross artifacts, including a hand-written letter by Clara Barton.
