COPD is a term for certain types of irreversible lung damage that blocks airways and makes it hard to breathe. If you have either emphysema or chronic bronchitis, you have COPD. To understand Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, it is important to know the causes, risk factors, and symptoms involved.

Meet your presenter:
Dr. Binz received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency with Harps Pharmacy and a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Residency at Triad HealthCare Network/Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. She worked at UAMS West for 7 years as a clinical pharmacy specialist. She moved to the VA where she practiced as a clinical pharmacy practitioner with the COPD Care program for 2 years. She is currently an assistant professor at the UAMS College of Pharmacy and practices at the UAMS Family Medical Center in Fayetteville.
