Christmas Wreath Workshop

Over the Hedge is delighted to host three festive wreath-making workshops in the run up to Christmas 2025! This year we'll be putting on the 3-hour event actually on our flower farm, where we'll guide you through the process of making an outdoor Christmas wreath from scratch.

What to expect:

• We will be seated around a table for the actual wreath making INSIDE our polytunnel - a large dry, covered space with plenty of light. We will make it as cosy as possible (and if it's a bright sunny day, the tunnel can actually get quite warm), but we strongly encourage you to wrap up in warm clothing as it may still be chilly outside.
• Please note: the workshop will take place in the field where we grow all our flowers. It's likely to be muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear.
• You get to harvest your own willow and we'll show you how to fashion a base. (Secateurs provided.)
• We supply all the foliage and dried flowers you'll need to decorate your wreath - so everything except the raffia ribbon (natural fibre from palm tree leaves) is grown/harvested/foraged on our farm!
• Hot drinks and freshly baked snacks from Meersbrook's own I Said Bread bakery are included in the price of the ticket.
• Free parking available. Compost toilets on site.
• There are buses that will bring you fairly near where we are (Norton Lane/Hemsworth Road) but it does involve a 20 minute walk down a country lane to get to our site.
• Take home a lovely wreath to decorate your door in time for Christmas!

Spaces are limited, so we encourage you book early to secure your place on what promises to be a lovely morning crafting wreaths and getting into the festive spirit.
