Get it on your calendar folks and help me welcome Amanda B. Perry and David Harland to The Basement for a wonderful evening of Christmas cheer on December 13th.This is Amanda's first time as a performer at The Basement and I couldn't be more excited! Andrew Frolish from Americana UK wrote - "Perry delivers a powerful vocal performance. Indeed, it is her forceful, soulful voice that really sets Perry apart. Displaying an impressive range and control, she possesses a distinctive singing voice that is full of emotion and heart; more than simply singing, she puts on an absorbing performance packed with drama and tension." Mitch Bankes from The Basement (who knows nothing about singing) simply said - "Amanda blows minds with her vocals." :)
David Harland was introduced to The Basement last year when he amazed everyone with his fingerstyle guitar playing. John Apice from Americana Highways wrote - "David is a finger-style guitarist in the fashion of Michael Hedges & sometimes Leo Kottke & John Fahey but without the rural dust & traditional curve. His guitar playing is expressive & has clarity with excellent tone." Mitch Bankes from The Basement (who knows nothing about guitar playing) simply wrote - "David blows minds with his guitar playing." :)

If you have never been to The Basement for a Christmas show...trust me you do not want to miss The Basement being dressed up in its ode to Physcho Suzi's glory as Christmas is puked all over the walls and rafters. PLUS (new this year), if you come dressed in your bestworst Christmas outfit, not only can you win a fabulous prize, but the winner will be allowed to etch their name in Christmas lore on our signature beam. How could it get any better than that?
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
FIRST: Doors open at 6:30pm and concert starts at 7:00pm.
SECOND: Ticket donations are only $25 and can be purchased through Venmo @Mitch-Bankes and of course all money will go to the band. NO REFUNDS (unless event is cancelled) Remember...responding YES that you are going is not the same as responding YES with your money. Pay it...don't say it...or better yet, do both. Like last year, I expect this one to sell out fast, so get your tickets now!
THIRD: A cash or Venmo donation bar will be available with my son Anthony performing his bar tending magic. There will be cocktails, mocktails and other delicious beverages along with a few tasty snacks and Christmas goodies.
FOURTH: The Basement is NOT handicapped accessible (sorry).
FIFTH: Amanda & David will have merchandise available for purchase.
SIXTH: Please invite your friends to join you...we love having new people experience The Basement!
