Christmas tree plantings are a viable option for small landowners. Topics to be discussed: Site selection, pre-planting site preparation, species selection, planting methods, insect and disease pressure, tree and sod maintenance, harvesting, and marketing, Additional items of interest will be other types of income from a Christmas tree farm. The workshop will be outside on an operating Christmas tree farm. Attendees should wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
