Christmas Tree Contest Judging Criteria

1. Creativity and Originality (25 points)

Unique design and imaginative use of materials.

Innovative approach to decorating the tree.

2. Theme and Cohesiveness (25 points)

Clear and well-executed theme.

Decorations complement each other and align with the theme.

3. Aesthetic Appeal (20 points)

Overall visual impact and beauty.

Use of color, balance, and proportion.

4. Star/Tree Topper (15 points)

Creativity and design of the star or tree topper.

Integration with the tree's overall theme.

5. Craftsmanship and Detail (15 points)

Quality and effort in the decoration process.

Attention to intricate details.

Bonus Points (up to 5 points)

Use of sustainable or handmade decorations.

Special features like lights or interactive elements.

Total Possible Points: 105

Judges will score each criterion based on a scale of 1-5 (or other agreed scoring), and the participant with the highest total score will win.

STAR MAKING

Are you ready to create a star that outshines them all? Whether you're a solo visionary or a team of cosmic creators, or create a STAR that symbolizes your Business, this contest is your chance to bring your stellar imagination to life. The Star-Making Contest invites contestants to design and craft their very own stars, using creativity, innovation, and artistic flair. Your star could be a symbol of beauty, power, or mystery—whatever you envision!

Contest Categories:

1.) Adult Division (minimum Star height is 20 inches)

2.) Youth division (minimum height is 10 inches)

Judging Criteria:

1. Creativity and Originality

• Innovation: Unique or imaginative approach to design.

• Use of Materials: Creative utilization of traditional or unconventional materials.

2. Craftsmanship

• Quality: Neatness and attention to detail.

• Durability: Sturdiness and overall construction of the star.

3. Design and Aesthetic Appeal

• Visual Impact: Overall attractiveness and ability to captivate the audience.

• Theme Relevance: How well the star represents the theme (if any).

• Color Combination: Harmonious or striking use of colors.

4. Functionality and Practicality

• Usability: If it’s a light-up star, does it function as intended?

• Portability: Ease of handling or installation (if required).

5. Presentation (Optional)

• Display: How well the star is presented during the competition.

• Explanation: Contestant’s ability to explain the concept and process of making the star.

6. Eco-Friendliness (Optional)

• Sustainability: Use of recycled or environmentally friendly materials.

7. Timeliness

• Punctuality: Completion of the star within the specified time frame.
