We provide vans for collecting, hi-viz to ensure you are visible, gloves to protect your hands when handling and routes to follow. If you ARE able to provide your own van, get in touch to let us know!

Yes, we will require a copy of your driving license to complete a driver check. Please send an image or photocopy of your license to [email protected] in order for us to complete the license check before your volunteering date.
Will I be working alone?
Most vans will have a driver and drivers mate. However you can work alone if you prefer.
Do I need to book to bring someone else along?
We'd love you to bring a friend/family member however if you want to volunteer on your own we will pair you up with someone else to do the collections.

No, if you cannot drive we will pair you with a driver.
I want to volunteer with my friend, can we be on the same van?
Yes, as long as one of you is a driver. Please ensure you book your tickets on the same booking.
Will I be provided with satnav?
No, the drivers mate will need to assist with satnav by using personal mobile phones. If you have access to a satnav please bring it along to use whilst on your shift.
Do I need to plan my own route?
No, the routes will be planned in advance and each collection will concentrate within a certain area.
What areas will I collect from?
We will collect from all across West Yorkshire.
What should I wear?
Please wear appropriate clothing for the task being completed such as sturdy shoes (no open toes), waterproof and warm clothing.
What happens to the trees after we have collected them?
The trees are recycled by being chipped locally and then used for path surfacing and other garden uses.
I have my own van, can I use that?
Yes, we would accept drivers with their own vans as an additional resource, please contact [email protected] separately without booking if you would like to do this.
Please note these volunteering roles requires manual handling and heavy lifting. You must be able to complete the task.
