Christmas Town Sonora: Lighting Ceremony of the Red Church and Downtown Sonora

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at our Downtown Sonora Lighting Ceremony! Join us as we light up St. James Episcopal Church (the iconic Red Church), Christmas Tree Lane in Courthouse Park, and the charming, festively decorated shops along Washington Street.
🎤 Special Guests! We’re honored to welcome Ann Segerstrom, Mayor of Sonora, who will give a short speech to kick off the evening’s festivities.
🎭 The Tuolumne County Historical Society will delight us with holiday stories, and Carolers will lead a joyful Christmas Sing-Along for all ages.
🙏 Community Blessing by Reverend Karen Matthes from St. James Episcopal Church, will set the tone for a season of warmth, peace, and joy.
Bring the whole family for this night of holiday magic! Enjoy the lights, stay for the performances, and make it an evening to remember by dining at one of our local restaurants.
