Christmas Themed Swap
Join our gathering dedicated to sharing and trading homemade and homegrown goods.
It is a space for local creators to exchange home grown produce, homemade food or drink and handcrafted items in a friendly, community-focused setting. Come ready to trade, browse, and take home something special made with care.
Guidelines for the Homemakers Swap:
1. The Code of Honor
* No Money Allowed: This is a 100% barter-based event.
* Homemade & Handcrafted: Please only bring items you have personally made or grown.
* Safety Waiver: By participating, you acknowledge that items are prepared in home kitchens and have not been inspected by regulatory agencies.
2. Labeling & Ingredient Cards
Every item must have a securely attached card including:
* Item Name: Clear and descriptive.
* Ingredients: Full list, including sub-ingredients.
* Allergen Warnings: Bold or highlight common allergens like nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, etc.
* Date Prepared: This helps others know the shelf life.
* Storage Info: Instructions such as "Keep refrigerated" or "Store in a cool, dry place".
3. Hygiene & Packaging
* Sealed Containers: Please use food-safe, airtight, and leak-proof packaging.
* Cleanliness: All items must be prepared using high-standard home hygiene practices.
4. The "Take-Home" Rule: Plan to take home any items you brought that weren't swapped.
*Bring a Tote: Remember to bring your own bags or boxes to carry home your new treasures.
