Join award-winning children’s author and illustrator James Mayhew and de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra for a dazzling concert of much-loved Christmas music!
As the orchestra perform festive favourites, Mayhew paints his illustrations live before your very eyes, all in perfect synchronicity with the music.
Featuring the glorious Christmas Overture by Coleridge-Taylor, full of all your favourite Christmas carols, as well as Prokofiev’s Troika (Sleigh Ride), which was the composer’s first attempt at film music.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s magnificent Christmas Eve suite was inspired by a Ukrainian fairytale and rivals The Nutcracker for dazzling tunes and enchanting sounds. The perfect start to the Christmas season!
