Sun 21 Dec – Carols in the Car Park8am – Blue Christmas. A quiet service of lament and remembrance for those finding Christmas difficult.
From 6pm – Carols in the Car Park. Gates open at 6pm | Food + Sing Australia Community Choir from 6:15pm | Carols Under the Stars from 7pm. Bring a chair or picnic rug and celebrate Christmas with your community!
Wed 24 Dec – Christmas Eve
5pm – Family Carols. A joyful, family-friendly celebration of the Christmas story.
11pm – Late Carols & Communion. A reflective candlelight service to welcome Christmas Day.
Thu 25 Dec – Christmas Day
9am – Christmas Celebration. Come and celebrate the birth of Jesus with carols, joy, and community.
Christmas at Gymea Anglican: Finding the Missing PEACE
Christmas is meant to be the season of peace - carols, lights, family, rest. And yet, for so many of us, December feels more like pressure than peace. We race to finish work, buy the right gifts, juggle family plans, and squeeze in one more thing. We tell ourselves, “If I just get this sorted… then I’ll feel settled.”
But every year, the feeling returns: something’s still missing.
Why do we endlessly pursue more, yet still feel incomplete? Why does peace seem just out of reach?
The Missing Piece Is PEACE
This Christmas at Gymea Anglican, our theme is “The Missing Peace”
We believe the longing we feel - the ache for wholeness, calm, purpose, and hope - is not an accident. It points us to something, or rather Someone, bigger than ourselves.
At the very first Christmas, God didn’t offer us a philosophy, a program, or a self-improvement plan. He offered a person: Jesus.
The Bible calls Jesus the “Prince of Peace.” His arrival wasn’t just a cute nativity moment—it was God stepping into our restless world to bring a peace we can’t manufacture, buy, earn, or schedule. A peace that goes deeper than circumstances. A peace that fills the space nothing else can.
In Jesus, God gives us the missing piece our hearts have been searching for.Not just peace for a season, but peace for life.

Whether you’ve been to church your whole life, haven’t been in years, or have never stepped inside a church building, Christmas is a great time to come along. There’s no pressure, no expectations - just a chance to pause, reflect, sing, celebrate, and hear good news.
And we get it - joining any group can feel daunting. Whether it’s Gymea Scouts, the local soccer team, netball, cricket, or a new club, walking in for the first time can be nerve-racking.
But at Gymea Anglican Church, there’s always a warm welcome. You don’t have to dress a certain way. You don’t have to know what to say or do. You can simply come as you are.
We’d love to meet you, your family, your friends, your neighbours - anyone looking for hope, joy, and peace this Christmas.
