Christmas Jazz Piano with Rufus Lin

Canadian jazz pianist/vocalist Rufus Lin is widely known in Tokyo, having given over 100 solo jazz recitals there over 11 years. Most of his fans live in Japan and South Korea. He has been a resident of Richmond BC for over 25 years.

Rufus Lin’s performances involve creative piano improvisation, in both jazz and classical traditions. He will often improvise on a well-known classical melody, or perform his own classical-style arrangement of a jazz standard. Rufus is also an accomplished jazz vocalist, and often accompanies himself on the piano.

After Rufus’ decade-long concert series in Tokyo ended when the Covid-19 pandemic began, he switched to livestreams and videos on YouTube and Instagram with a social media following of thousands of people worldwide.

At all his concerts, including this one, Rufus prefers to perform on one of the world’s most exclusive pianos, a Fazioli grand piano. Rufus Lin’s piano albums are available on all major streaming platforms, such as Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.
