JBell is known for our Jazz nights and there are none more special than our Christmas Jazz Event. We'll turn down the lights so you can relax and enjoy this very special time of year.*Join us Saturday, December 7th at 6:00pm as we welcome back Marley Dzis (voice) accompanied by Grammy- nominated Tim Volpicella (guitar) to our Woodinville Tasting Room.
This will be an intimate evening of traditional and original Christmas Jazz melodies. Marley will bring her own unique style to your Christmas favorites.
Marlena Dzis-Corey is a Polish-born and classically-trained vocalist and lyric coloratura soprano who has performed with New Orleans Opera, the Chicago Chopin Society, Chicago Choral Artists, Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra, Canterbury Singers, The Lira Singers, American Chamber Opera, and at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, St. Hyacinth Basilica in Chicago, and Chopin In The City Festival.
She performed at various venues in New Orleans, including the Spotted Cat and Neutral Ground Coffeehouse, and various venues in Chicago including Heaven Gallery, Uncommon Ground, Katerina's, and Ciao! Cafe & Wine Lounge, among others.
As a child, she performed with the Polonia Polish Folk Song & Dance Ensemble, with which she has traveled to Hungary, Taiwan, Poland, Italy - where she sang for Pope John Paul II, among others, thus inspiring her passion for multicultural and world music.
She currently resides in Bellingham, WA, and can be heard at Skylark's Hidden Cafe in the charming neighborhood of Fairhaven.
This event is $20 at the door and includes a glass of wine.
Wine by the bottle and by the glass will be available as well as beer, nonalcoholic options and a light appetizer menu.
*Our tasting room is a very intimate space and this event will fill up quickly.
