Our adventure follows the path of the old Eastern Railway line, built in 1884, that transformed the hills east of Perth. We'll journey up the Darling Scarp, passing through charming towns like Parkerville, Stoneville, Mount Helena, and Chidlow. Time permitting, we might even explore further! Fuel up for the day with a delightful morning tea at Pioneer Park in Mount Helena.
Following the railway's trail, we'll return to the historic Mundaring Townsite. Here, a delicious two-course Christmas lunch awaits us at the Historic Mundaring Hotel. After a satisfying meal, the afternoon is yours to explore! Immerse yourself in art at the Mundaring Sculpture Park and the Mundaring Arts Centre, unearth treasures at the local op shops, or delve into history at the Mundaring Museum.
Our journey homeward takes us along the scenic Mundaring Weir and through Kalamunda, completing this captivating day trip.
