Christmas In July // July 25th 5-7 pm
Westside Baptist Church is hosting our second Christmas In July to collect items for packing our Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts and raise some money to ship our boxes!! On July 25th from 5-7 pm we will be having a fun-filled night voting on trees that have been pre-decorated with OCC supplies, enjoying some yummy summer “salads”, and fellowshipping with one another in expectation for another wonderful OCC season to come!
How much: To get into the Fundraiser it is $6 per person, or $25 for a family of 5+.
Dinner is included in your price, but please note that the theme of our dinner is “Salad”, think pasta salads, potato salads, candy salad! :-) We will have Tea, Water, and Lemonade available.
We will also have a fun summer treat available for sale for $1 each! :)
When you purchase your ticket at the door you will receive 1 ticket to vote for your favorite tree! Whichever tree has the most tickets at the end of the night will win a prize! If you’d like to buy extra tickets to vote for your favorite tree, you can purchase those at the door for $1 each! Remember, all money raised goes straight towards shipping our OCC shoebox gifts for the 2026 season!
If you are planning on decorating a tree for the event you must:
provide the tree, can be as big or as little as you would like!
provide the lights
provide all of the “Decor” (OCC items on the tree) to be donated
Decorate the night before between 4-8 pm (July 24th)
Let us know by July 18th if you are providing a tree and what your theme is
When you are providing a tree, think of a theme: Flip Flop Tree, Hygiene Tree, 6 Year Old Girl Tree, Dinosaur Tree, Yellow Tree, etc.
We will play some fun games together and enjoy some good ol quality time in the AC (this summer has been a HOT one!) and once our fun night is over, we will reveal the most popular tree of the evening!
If you love serving Jesus, OCC, Christmas, and playing reindeer games please come join us! RSVP so we can prepare for your attendance & if you are interested in decorating a tree please reach out to Glenna Hallinan, Laura Rider, or Vanessa Roberts to confirm so we can prepare the space for that as well. WE CAN’T WAIT!!!!
