Christmas Festival - Festive Saturdays
Taking place on Saturday 28 November and Saturdays 5, 12 and 19 December, the festival will offer something different each week. From 10am until 3pm, visitors can enjoy live music, community performances, walkabout entertainment and free seasonal craft activities while shopping locally and preparing for Christmas.
The festivities begin on Saturday 28 November with traditional favourites from Heath Band, followed by a performance from local community choir Somewhere 2 Sing. LSJ Duo will continue the afternoon’s live music, while the mischievous Tinsel & Cracker bring their playful Christmas street theatre to the town centre. Happydashery will also be hosting a festive craft activity throughout the day.
On Saturday 5 December, Leighton-Linslade Concert Band will provide the morning’s soundtrack before a performance from The Rock Project. Jazz the Two of Us will perform during the afternoon, with Angie’s Festival Funky Hooping adding colour, energy and plenty of audience interaction. Woodland Warriors will invite younger visitors to get creative with a nature-inspired craft activity.
Top Brass will start the celebrations on Saturday 12 December before Rising Voices and Open Voices take to the stage ahead of live afternoon music from Lou and Mack. Families can look out for the lively Christmas Party by Swank whilst decorating a Bath Bomb or Tote Bag with PopFizz.
The final festival Saturday takes place on 19 December, just in time for Christmas. Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion will perform during the morning, with Glee Club UK Leighton Buzzard entertaining visitors at lunchtime. UkieTooNes will bring the programme to a joyful conclusion, accompanied by appearances from the hilarious Celeb Reindeer. There will also be seasonal arts and crafts available throughout the day from LB Art Society.
The Christmas Festival is the perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friends, enjoy the atmosphere and support Leighton Buzzard’s independent shops, cafés, restaurants and market traders. There's even FREE travel on L route buses on each of the Saturdays so you can sit back and relax after a day of exploring!
Wrap up warm and join us in Leighton Buzzard town centre for four Saturdays of festive fun!
