The Advent season is much deeper than a cute baby born in a manger. The word “advent” means arrival, and arriving in that baby boy is the greatest love humanity has ever experienced. He is Jesus, the Incarnate God; the source of joy that lives beyond circumstance; the peace of God that transcends all understanding; and the eternal hope that rescues our souls. The season of Advent is discovering the arrival of everything our hearts have been searching for.Advent at Evergreen looks like celebration. Whether it’s learning more about the arrival of Jesus as a family with the Advent Journal, savoring the joy of the season with a Movie Night, or praising the Living God at gatherings, join us this December as we celebrate the arrival of Jesus and what it means for us!
