Christmas Ceramic Workshop - Snowmen miniature sculptures

Join us at Creative Bloc on Sun Nov 24 2024 at 10:30 AM for a fun and festive crafting experience. Learn how to create your own adorable snowmen sculptures out of clay.
No prior experience necessary, just come ready to get your hands dirty and unleash your creativity!

You will learn learn some beginner hand-building techniques and can expect to make 2 or 3 miniature sculptures depending on the intricacy of your designs. We will also add some colourful details to our sculptures with underglazes.
Your pieces will be left to dry in the studio before being fired in the kiln and clear-glazed by studio staff. This process takes approximately 2 weeks so your pieces will be ready to collect in plenty of time for Christmas.

**Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little messy (the clay will wash out) or bring an apron if you prefer.
Ages 10+ are very welcome to attend with a supervising adult, both must book a space.
The tutor: Addison (she/they) has 15+ years experience experimenting with different mediums under their brand "Planet Peach". They have been teaching workshops, hosting craft-themed events and leading community arts activities for 10+yrs.
The Venue: Creative Bloc Glasgow is a new arts collective and creative studio in Glasgow North-West. 814 Garscube Road, G20 7ET.
Public transport:
First busses 60, 60A, 61 - Bluebird X10, X10A and West Coast Motors 17 all stop on Maryhill Road just 2 minutes walk away.
Kelvinbridge and St Georges Cross underground are approx 17mins walk.
Car:
There is on-street parking on Garscube Rd and a small visitors carpark at the back entrance, accessed via Firhill Rd.
