🎄🐦 Join Us for the Christmas Bird Count at Ray Harral Nature Center! 🐦🎄Ray Harral Nature Center is teaming up with Tulsa Audubon for the Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running community science project in the country! This family-friendly event is your chance to learn about the winter birds that call Ray Harral home, while contributing to this 123-year-old tradition that helps track bird populations across the U.S.
🦅 What to Expect:
- Birding Hikes with Ray Harral naturalists and Tulsa Audubon members, counting birds as we go.
- A chance to tally results and contribute to the annual E-bird Christmas Bird Count Project.
- Birding Basics and fun learning activities for all ages!
We’ll go out rain, snow, or sunshine—so be sure to dress for the weather! While we’ll have a limited number of binoculars, feel free to bring your own if you have them. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
🎉 Schedule:
9:00-9:30 AM: Welcome & Birding Basics
9:30-11:00 AM: Outdoor Bird Hike & Count
11:00-11:30 AM: Tally Results & Enjoy a Bagged Lunch (lunch not provided)

Budding Birders (Ages 4-7):
10:00-10:30 AM: Birding Basics & Binocular Boot Camp
10:30-11:00 AM: Outdoor Bird Hikes & Indoor Feeder Watch
11:00-11:30 AM: Tally Results & Enjoy a Bagged Lunch (lunch not provided)
