Ray Harral Nature Center is teaming up with Tulsa Audubon for the Christmas Bird Count, the longest-running community science project in the country! This family-friendly event is your chance to learn about the winter birds that call Ray Harral home, while contributing to this 123-year-old tradition that helps track bird populations across the U.S.
What to Expect:
- Birding Hikes with Ray Harral naturalists and Tulsa Audubon members, counting birds as we go.
- A chance to tally results and contribute to the annual E-bird Christmas Bird Count Project.
- Birding Basics and fun learning activities for all ages!
We’ll go out rain, snow, or sunshine—so be sure to dress for the weather! We’ll have a classroom set of binoculars for use, feel free to bring your own if you have them. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
