About this Event
London has always felt like a melting pot of cultures. A place where anyone from anywhere can feel at home.
As a group of established and emerging artists who are passionate about art and community, we believe that this is something that’s worth protecting.
So this December we are coming together to raise funds for the brilliant work the charity ‘Our Second Home’ does providing young refugees and asylum-seekers in London with support, community and vital skills.
We want to use art to send a message of solidarity and hope, to let people know that they are valued, and deserving of dignity and love.
Join us to collect beautiful art from exciting UK-based artists and help an amazing cause.
Date: Saturday 13th December
Venue: Studio 15, Theatre Deli, 107 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A 4AF
· Music and complimentary drinks from 6pm
· Auction starts at 7pm
The Art
We are pleased to have an exciting group of both established and emerging contemporary artists making up a beautiful collection of work.
There is a mix of more than 30 artworks, including works on paper, ceramics, textiles and prints.
From vibrant paintings to striking photographs, playful textiles to fluid compositions, each piece reflects the artist’s diverse experiences and unique aesthetics.
All the artworks have been donated directly by the artists and are original pieces.
The Cause
Young refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants in London and across the UK are often isolated and lonely, living in foster care or supported accommodation, without the necessary infrastructure to feel at home, develop positive social relationships or learn vital skills.
The charity ‘Our Second Home’ supports young refugees and asylum-seekers to build confidence and leadership, empowering them to flourish in the place they call home.
Through residential programmes, community activities, leadership training and year-round activities, they create safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and shape the next generation of refugee leaders.
