Join us as Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd and Olivia Schloegel will facilitate a session on faithful resistance to Christian Nationalism. In a follow-up to last month's event on the roots of Christian Nationalism, this event will help us learn ways to push back against its influence here and now, and to organize for hope and justice. You won't want to miss it! Please note that this event is taking place on a Wednesday evening, April 15th at 7pm.About our Speakers:
Marty Toepke-Floyd (he/him) is the Senior Pastor serving First United Methodist Church. He is a longtime advocate for peace with justice, protecting the environment, hunger and poverty relief, and the inclusion of people regardless of their sexual orientation in the life of the Church.
Olivia Schloegel (she/her) is a local volunteer organizer. She works as a research coordinator, and previously worked as a U.S. Geological Survey biologist and adjunct professor. Olivia values civic engagement and inclusive dialogue to develop practical solutions that bridge diverse identities and generations.
