Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles 19th Annual Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser

This year, Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles is celebrating 20 years of Pursuing Justice, Bringing Hope, and Changing Lives! We invite you to attend our 19th Annual Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser, where we will be blessed by our keynote speaker, The Honorable Andrew J. Guilford, United States District Judge, Retired.

At this event, we will also pay tribute to volunteers who have made significant contributions to our mission of spreading the love of Jesus Christ, fostering a passion for justice in our community, and providing free legal services and hope to those in need. All proceeds from the event will support Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles' clinics and programs.

The Honorable Andrew J. Guilford (Ret.) served as a United States District Judge for the Central District of California from 2006 until his retirement, occasionally sitting by designation on the Ninth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. During his tenure, he was recognized for his fairness, professionalism, and service to the judiciary, including appointment by the Chief Justice to the U.S. Judicial Council’s Committee on Codes of Conduct.

Before joining the bench, Judge Guilford practiced law for more than 30 years with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, specializing in complex business and intellectual property matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, was repeatedly named among California’s Top 100 Attorneys by the Daily Journal, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Franklin G. West Award, and the J. Reuben Clark Award.

A graduate of UCLA School of Law, Judge Guilford remains deeply committed to service. He has led organizations such as the State Bar of California and the Public Law Center, advancing access to justice and pro bono work. Today, he serves with Judicate West as a mediator, arbitrator, and private judge, continuing his dedication to fairness, integrity, and community service.
