Please join us for our 7th Annual Memorial Run in honor of Christian Lake at The Dirty Oar Beer Co. in Cocoa Village. We will gather joyfully to commemorate our son’s life and his passion for running everywhere in Brevard County and beyond.
As many of you know, Christian, a collegiate Cross Country and Track athlete tragically lost his life in an automobile accident July 19, 2017 just prior to his senior year at Florida Tech/Florida Institute of Technology. Since then, with the generosity of Space Coast Running Club, they established the SCR Christian Lake Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist a graduating high school senior who’s wish is to continue their passion at the collegiate level.
After we gather to run or walk an untimed distance of your choosing on South River Road, we will return to the Dirty Oar where light food will be provided from 6-8 pm and amazing beer served up by The Dirty Oar Beer Company. Soda, water, and Gatorade will also be available.
We hope you will join us whether you run or walk and share your memories of our Christian together with a smile. Also, as last year, we will be collecting new socks of all sizes to donate to our local sharing/homeless shelters. We will also provide a box for those who wish to donate to the Scholarship Fund.
