Christchurch National Animal Rights Day (NARD)

We will gather at the corner of Hereford Street and Colombo Street in Cathedral Square, with proceedings beginning at 12pm.

12:00 pm – 12:50 pm: Commemoration proceedings
12:50 pm – 1:10 pm: March through Cashel Street Mall
1:15 pm – 2:30 pm: Celebratory proceedings

What to expect:

• A memorial ceremony honouring the billions of animals who have lost their lives at human hands over the past year, including a public funeral and remembrance service.
• A celebration of the progress made toward animal liberation, our activist community, and the growing vegan movement.
• Public education around animal rights, the realities of animal exploitation, and what we can all do to create change through a cruelty-free, vegan lifestyle.
