Lewes Saturday Folk Club Workshop No 334
The workshop will focus on how Chris approaches accompanying songs using the guitar, but will bring out general points about the nature of accompaniment including the use of different tunings. Chris will take a look at ways to go about playing finger style guitar to accompany songs. He will pass on some of the ideas & techniques that he uses.

11.00 Why do you do that? My guitar journey with English folk music, showing why I arrange & play songs the way I do.
12.30 Lunch
13.30 How do you do that? Left % right hand techniques & a look into some tuning systems.
15.00 Tea/coffee break
15.15 Sitting in the warm seat, group session sharing our songs, & how & why we do them the way we do.
16.15 Finish
In the evening Chris performs at Lewes Saturday Folk Club, Westgate Chapel, 92A High Street, Lewes BN7 1XH. Tickets are £12. Email valmaigoodyear[at]aol[dot]com to book, bring the right money in cash on the night. Doors open 7:00, music starts at 7:30.
