Jess Garland is a Dallas-based singer-songwriter, recording and performing artist. She is a
multi-instrumentalist who combines ambient harp and guitar loops to evoke her unique brand of
celestial avant-garde pop with ethereal jazz tones. Jess has just released her debut album “Glow”, that’s available on all platforms .
Opalina Salas is a prominent Dallas-based poet, spoken word performer, literary organizer, and former bookstore owner who has been a pillar of the North Texas creative arts community for over 30 years. Deeply rooted in the Oak Cliff neighborhood ,her work frequently centers around community, culture, and honest expression.
Derek Rogers is a Dallas-based musician active in electronic composition, drone, free-improv, ambient, and noise textures. He utilizes computer processes as well as traditional instrumentation and field recordings to create emotionally resonant work, tending toward long forms and soundscapes. Rogers works predominantly as a solo artist, with some 50+ albums released since 2007. Recent collaborations include projects with musicians such as Dennis Gonzalez, A.F. Jones, and Lee Noble.
Chris Curiel is a Dallas, Texas based trumpeter who has been performing professionally for over 30 years. After his formal education at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the University of North Texas, he has been on a creative journey that continues to push and drive him to discover new sounds, genres, and collaborations.
From jazz, swing, and latin ensembles to blues, indie music and improvisational collectives, he has performed for audiences world wide. Chris currently performs regularly throughout the state of Texas and surrounding areas as a freelance performing and recording artist as well with his groups Swirve, Buzzoookah Project and his Latin ensembles.
There will be an amazing art exhibit up in the gallery from the works of Sudeep Kumar for your viewing pleasure as well.
